Illinois Governor Pat Quinn signs bill into law that will prevent Rod Blagojevich from profiting on book if he is convicted 

Impeached ex-Gov. Rod Blagojevich could lose all of the cash he collects from his upcoming book, his radio gig and even his recent surprise party appearance covering a song by his hero Elvis.

That’s how Rep. Jack Franks (D-Marengo) sees his new state law playing out if Blagojevich is convicted of the federal political corruption counts he faces at a trial scheduled for next summer.

Gov. Pat Quinn, who took over for the deposed Blagojevich in January, signed the bill Tuesday that aims to prevent elected officials convicted of corruption from profiting from their crimes.
